At Bodywork by Jesse, I take pride in using quality products for your skin!
Organic MCT Coconut Oil: This is fractionated coconut oil, which just means it stays liquid instead of going solid like regular coconut oil. It is super light and non-greasy, so it glides beautifully without leaving you feeling slick or oily afterward. It absorbs at a nice moderate pace, won't clog pores, is hypoallergenic, and works great for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
Organic Jojoba Oil: This is actually a liquid plant wax that's remarkably similar to your skin's natural oils, which is why skin just loves it. Jojoba is naturally balancing - it can help regulate oil production whether your skin is too dry or too oily. It is packed with vitamins E and B-complex, plus minerals like zinc and copper that support skin health. The glide is smooth and luxurious for massage work, and it absorbs well without feeling heavy. It is also naturally antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, making it perfect for sensitive or problematic skin.
Organic Grapeseed Oil: This light, silky oil is rich in linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid your skin needs) and loaded with antioxidant vitamin E. It has this beautiful slip that makes it ideal for massage techniques, and it absorbs relatively quickly so you won't feel greasy after your session. Grapeseed is particularly good for tightening and toning skin, reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks, and helping with inflammation. It is gentle enough for acne-prone skin since it won't clog pores.
Organic Sunflower Oil: High in oleic acid and vitamin E, sunflower oil is deeply nourishing and especially beneficial for dry, dehydrated, or mature skin. It helps retain moisture, soothes irritation, and supports your skin's natural barrier function. The texture is smoth with good glide for massage, and it absorbs at a medium rate - not too fast, not too slow. Sunflower oil also has natural anti-inflammatory properties and contains beta-carotene, which helps protect and repair skin. It is gentle, affordable, and works beautifully in combination with other carriers.
I also add REVIVE essential oils to the carrier blend that I use. What makes essential oils so beneficial is that when they are applied topically, essential oil molecules are small enough to penetrate the skin's layers. Essentiol oils are lipophilic (fat-loving), which helps them pass through skin's lipid barriers. They can pass through the epidermis and dermis, eventually reaching capillaries where they enter the bloodstream. This is called transdermal absortption. Massage increases absorption through heat and friction; occlusion (covering the area) also increases penetration. Most studies suggest essential oil components can be detected in blood within 5-20 minutes of topical application, peaking around 20-60 minutes, and clearing within a few hours as they're metabolized by the liver and excreted through the kidneys and lungs.
I create unique blends for every massage session. So you will receive a different blend each time you come for a massage! I put thought into each blend I create! So if you are struggling with depression, anxiety, or other ailments of any kind, I am happy to mix a blend specifically for that need! Here is a list of the essential oils that I have with details for each oil as well as uses for them. As you will notice, every oil has many benefits.
